Lance Armstrong Resigns To Save His Cancer Foundation -CNN Video


Texas News- Livestrong Foundation chairman Lance Armstrong has officially resigned to save his cancer foundation from being dragged to the doping fiasco.


Nike also terminated Lance Armstrong contract stating that Armstrong has "misled" Nike for many years about the doping scandal but will still help his foundation. Nike still believes in the 

LIVESTRONG mantra 

“To unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer.".


Nike will also be removing his name in the Lance Armstrong Fitness Center at Nike’s main headquarters.


Last week The Anti-Doping Agency provided large amount of evidence against Armstrong and his teammates for using illegal substance and blood transfusion methods during his cycling career when they won the Tour de France seven times in 1999 to 2005.


"Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him," Nike said in a statement. "Nike does not condone the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs in any manner."

Armstrong has denied accusations but witness’s statements that Armstrong used advanced methods to make sure they pass the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) test.

USADA has banned him for life and took away his seven Titles in Tour de France.
