Paella de Valenciana-Hispanic Heritage Month Blog Hop

I am joining the Hispanic Heritage Month Blog Hop and I am so excited. Gonna cook my father's recipe Paella de Valenciana the easy way.

I was so excited preparing  the grocery list while watching  the Texas news together with my cute little nephews. They love to push the carts with ingredients to the paella valenciana.

The secret of  a great Tasting Paella Valenciana is the sticky rice.

Buy the best sticky rice available in your place.

I prepared two types of Paella Valenciana base on its ingredients.

Usually It's mixed sea foods but if it's not available then you can do chicken and pork with liver.

Boiled the chicken and pork separately until tender.

Clean the rice with water and cook it using a rice cooker. Use the broth of the chicken.

Others use Sprite to cook the sticky rice.
It will make the rice more flavorful.
Don't forget to add small amounts of Curry powder for the yellow color.
Saute the chicken. Add some salt, pepper, soy sauce  to taste.

Add the peas, garbanzos, raisins, red bell peppers.

I set aside half of the chicken valenciana since some of my family members don't eat liver and pork.

Saute the pork and the liver. may sure the pork is tender.

Add this to the half portion of the chicken valenciana.

Boil some eggs and add it on top for presentation.

Texas Most Hated Town for Illegal Immigrants Renters

Texas News- Dallas, Texas Farmers Branch will try for the second time to ban illegal immigrants renters as local citizens will have their voices heard this coming Wednesday with a group of conservative judges to prohibit illegal immigrants from occupying rented homes on their neighborhood and co-exist with their community as legitimate individuals.

This costly legal battle amounting to $6 million has been going on for four years now when Texas Farmers Branch Town was brought to Court after they approved a resolution to provide local authorities the power to evict illegal immigrants from renting homes.

The case is being heard by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, consisting of ten active judges appointed by Republican presidents and five from the Democrats.

As of the moment the ordinance is not being implemented by Farmers Branch Texas community but on the second try they might have a chance for the passage of the resolution with the approval of the Courts of Appeal.

The Farmers branch resolution requires all renters to go to the City and fill up a license form of 5$ fee for their legal status checked.

Then the city's building inspector will check their immigrant status and those found to be illegal will be denied renter's permit. Home and apartment owners that will be found allowing illegal immigrants to stay will be fines or have their licensed cancelled.

Most of the resolution was rejected except for the portion of "show me your papers". Authorities will have the power to check their status if they have found them suspicious about their US status.

Farmers Branch's Legal team points out that its resolution is different from the Arizona immigration law. The Supreme Court did not hinder illegal immigrants from renting properties.

The legal team of attorneys for the landlords and renters who sued the farmers Branch believes that they have over step  the power of implementation illegal immigration laws reserved only federal authorities.

Farmers Market has already spent $6 million on legal bills and expenses related to illegal immigration which can be used for Education and health care.

Mayor Bill Glancy thinks that the town loves minorities even though there were complaints from legal immigrants that local authorities are harassing them pointing out the free English classes being offered in Public Library.

"They're against illegal immigration," Glancy said of his town's residents. "They have supported legal immigration for a long time."
