Randy Travis Assaulted The Husband of Her Friend

Texas News-Randy Travis was named for an assault that took place at Prestonwood Baptist Church parking lot last Thursday night. A married couple was arguing and he suddenly stepped into the argument.

According to the spokesman of the city police, Travis was under the influence of alcohol. "Witnesses are reporting and our investigation revealed that Mr. Travis assaulted the husband," added by Officer David Tilley, and that Travis was a friend of the wife.

No injury was reported but the cause of the incident remains unclear. A traffic ticket was issued to Travis since the incident happened in the parking lot. Tilley said, "It must have been something very minor, I can tell you that," and he added that an offense of unwanted physical contact could be charged to Travis. The singer was born in South Carolina and was a Grammy Award winner.

A few of his well-known songs are “Out of My Bones” and “Forever and Ever Amen”. Though he was famous the law exempts no one so he would still have to face the local court to deal with his offense. No comment was given by Travis’ side.

"I've seen the reports and I don't know where they're getting this information," Tilley said and added that he is in doubt that Travis was intoxicated by the media with the incident. Travis was also found to be lying naked on the road near his car by a Texas trooper earlier this month.

He was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and run into highway construction barriers and retaliation earlier this month according to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
